Welcome to the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Sydney, the Hong Kong Government’s representative office for Australia and New Zealand.

For over 25 years, our role has been to promote Hong Kong in Australia and New Zealand and develop collaborative relationships with government and business. Hong Kong is Asia’s cosmopolitan centre, offering endless opportunities to global businesses and connecting them to the world’s most dynamic economies.

Hong Kong's past success and future also lies in our city's uniqueness and strengths, including our prime location, rule of law, high-speed communications, free flow of information and capital as well as a low and simple tax system, which make Hong Kong a leading international business and financial centre.

In looking to the future, the Hong Kong SAR Government has developed a series of strategies to make full use of the city’s advantages under the “One Country, Two Systems” principle, reboot Hong Kong’s economy, create new opportunities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and to further promote the growth of innovation and technology in our city. Being a global financial centre and an international aviation hub, Hong Kong remains well positioned for Australian and New Zealand businesses seeking out opportunity and growth.
