HKETO Sydney celebrates Hong Kong-Australia business connections
HKETO Sydney joined the Hong Kong Australia Business Association (New South Wales Chapter) networking dinner in Sydney on 21 September, bringing together business leaders and partners to strengthen connections between Hong Kong and Australia. Speaking at the event, Director of HKETO Sydney, Mr Ricky Chong, highlighted the natural complementarities between the two economies, noting that Australia’s world-class agricultural, food and wine products are well positioned to benefit from Hong Kong’s role as an international trading hub and vibrant market for premium products.
Mr Chong also shared the latest opportunities arising from Hong Kong’s first Five-Year Plan for Economic and Social Development and the 2026 Policy Address. He highlighted Hong Kong’s continued commitment to free trade and its zero-tariff regime, as well as efforts to develop a high value-added supply chain services centre, promote digital trade and cross-border e-commerce, and strengthen connections between businesses and markets, creating new opportunities for Australian businesses to tap into Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland and the wider Asian region.
