First Quarter GDP Grows 2.8%
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government released today the First Quarter Economic Report 2013, together with the preliminary figures on Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the first quarter of 2013.
Total exports up 11.3%
The volume of Hong Kong's re-exports of goods increased by 11.5% year-on-year in March, while that of domestic exports decreased by 0.2%, the Census & Statistics Department announced today.

Unemployment Rate Remains at 3.4%
According to the latest labor force statistics (provisional figures for December 2012 - February 2013) released today by the Census and Statistics Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stood at 3.4% in December 2012 - February 2013, same as that in November 2012 - January 2013. The underemployment rate decreased from 1.6% in November 2012 - January 2013 to 1.5% in December 2012 - February 2013.
